Review:
On March 16, 2010, BioWare released the first expansion, Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening. This would probably be the only expansion to be released for the game as BioWare is already working on the sequel which is set to be released next February. Well, there's a small possibility they might work on another expansion while developing the sequel. If there're hard-working enough. I shan't be a spoiler and reveal the story details so don't worry.
I didn't downloaded it immediately when it was available in the pirate world. In fact, I totally forgotten about it. I must have been busy with school. But no matter. The important thing is, I have played through the story and completed it two weeks ago in 2-3 days. It's the holidays right now so I have ample amount of time to enjoy the game. I did enjoy it. That's an HONEST statement. However, some critics have cited the story to be "disappointing" but I beg to differ. I was entertained so much so that it kept me playing. If the developers had that effect in mind, the game is then truly successful. The critics with their negative reviews can suck it big time.
The game mechanics and the interface are the same so you shouldn't have any problems adapting. There are new sub-classes though. Which also means new spells and skills for the current classes. You can't bring your companions from Origins but you'll meet new ones. Some with very interesting backgrounds and whatever decisions you make might affect what they would do. You'll able to import your main character. Some items may be missing from your inventory. This is not a bug but a deliberate act to simply balance the game at the beginning.
There's nothing much to say anymore but for you to try to game. So do it!
